My goal is to provide affordable, quality website development services to small business and non-profits
The most common way that I work with clients is:
- I conduct a one-week detailed security review of their website at no charge. I will ask lots of questions during the study, and will provide a report at the end of that study.
- I have a discussion with you about features that you want to change or implement
- I quote a monthly maintenance price that includes addressing any security and performance issues, making the requested functionality changes to the website, and looking after maintenance
- GST is not applicable for any services that I provide, which further reduces the project cost.
- I provide discounted rates to non-profit organisations that are registered charities.
My clients normally engage me for an extended period on this basis.
Alternatively, if you would like to engage me for a specific task, then I can provide a fixed price quote for the required work.
Out of pocket expenses
I do not include out-of-pocket expenses in my fees - you are responsible for paying any out of pocket expenses related to the project. However I will always discuss any recommended purchases with you, and agree on whether the purchase is required. I am also able to pay for any project costs and invoice them back to you at cost price. Typical out-of-pocket expenses during a project are:
- WordPress is a free platform for web development (so no cost)
- I often use a suite of free plugins for the website security, performance and backend management (so no cost for those plugins). However, if there are any plugins that need to be purchased for the project then I will discuss the requirement with you, and the cost of those plugins will be your responsibility
- You are responsible for contracting for the web hosting and domain name. I am happy to provide recommendations for those if needed
